When to Calibrate?

You should consider calibration or re-calibration of your color instruments upon meeting any of these conditions:

  • after purchasing a new instrument

  • after an instrument has been repaired or modified

  • when a specified time period has elapsed

  • when a specified usage (operating hours) has elapsed

  • before and/or after a critical measurement

  • after an event, such as:

    • after an instrument has had a shock or vibration

    • after exposure to an adverse condition

    • after sudden changes in the environment

  • whenever observations appear questionable

  • whenever an instruments values are inconsistent with comparable instruments

  • the instrument no longer accurately reads known secondary, artifact standards

A regular schedule of calibrations by Color Calibration Group will keep your measurement instruments and tools in optimal condition to support your design, troubleshooting, and manufacturing workflow.
